The next fireworks event will be on Saturday 3rd November, 2012. The theme this year will be Great Explorations - Explorers from the Antarctic to Space.


As well as one of the best firework displays in the region, there will be music, fairground rides and stalls, novelties, BBQ, hot drinks and bar will be available.

Free parking available - please note that the car park will be locked at 10pm.

The fireworks event is a fundraiser for local good causes - the people who organise the event, and those who help out on the night, all volunteer their time for free.

We would like to thank everyone who came to see our fireworks or to help out at the event last year! The event went really well, and we'd like to thank everyone who told us it was the best fireworks events they'd ever seen!

Last year we donated £4300 to local causes, including to the following:

• Haddenham Scouts
• SASU
• Wilburton Guides
• Wilburton Football Academy
• Wilburton School Association
• Wilburton Community Archives
• Wilburton Theatre Group
• Wilburton Toddler Group
• HEART
• The Baptist Chapel

In 2010, we donated £2500 - with money going to the Haddenham Scouts, SASU, First Response, HEART, The Wilburton School Association, the Wilburton Youth Group, Dial-a-Ride, and the Wilburton Archive Group.

Money from the 2009 event was kept to cover loses made in 2008 (a very wet year). But from the 2007 event we were able to donate £4000 to local organisations and charities, and £3000 was donated in 2006 - meaning we have donated £13800 since 2006.

Please note that sparklers are not allowed at the event.
