Welcome to the Wilburton Beer Festival Website!

Wilburton Beer Festival Pump
We are pleased to announce that the 10th Wilburton Beer Festival will be held on the weekend of the 21st and 22nd June 2008.

This year we are looking for local companies to Sponsor a Barrel of beer to help offset the ever increasing costs of staging the beer festival. In return for sponsorship, we will promote your business on our website and during the beer festival. Click on Sponsor a Barrel for more details.

We are hoping to have Star FM back again this year, with live broadcasts from the festival during Saturday afternoon.

Dogs

The most common question we have been asked this year is "Are we allowed to bring a dog?" - the answer to that is no - the festival is held on the recreation ground, and dogs are not allowed on there.

Last Year

The 9th Wilburton Beer Festival was another great success - despite the weather! We would like to thank everyone who came along to support the beer festival this year, and helped up to raise over £2250 for our chosen charities and organisations.

Last year we donated £1000 to Liam Fairhurst and his Liam's Mile campaign. Liam attended the beer festival on Saturday afternoon and offically opened it. We all wish Liam well, and congratulate him on his fabulous achievements in reaching his target of raising £100,000.

We also donated £1000 to the Milton Hospice (EACH) - and money also goes to the local Scouts who do a fantastic job of tidying up on the Sunday morning.

Some photos from 2007, thanks to Mark Fairhurst for these!

The Wilburton Beer Festival is run by volunteers, and is held annually to raise money for organisations, events and projects within the village and local area. Since 1998, we have raised well over £30,000 for these organisations. The organisers and helpers at the Festival give up their time to arrange and stage this event, so come along and support them and local charities by having a beer or two!

STAR Radio Logo In 2006 we raised £4000 for the Milton Hospice - and we chose to support them again in 2007. We are also supported Liam Fairhurst and his Liam's Mile campaign in association with STAR FM - raising money for CLIC Sargent, a charity for Children with Cancer. Mark Peters of STAR FM and Liam opened the 2007 beer festival on Saturday afternoon.
